Attendance Policy

Last updated: 6 Sept 2026

Attendance is essential to gaining value from the training and to receiving a certificate of completion.

Required attendance

  • You must attend at least 80% of the total course hours to receive a certificate of completion.
  • Some courses that prepare for an accredited exam may require a higher rate; this is stated on the course page.

Recording attendance

  • Attendance is recorded for each session, in person by signature or electronically.
  • For virtual training, the sign-in/out log, connection time and active participation are used (camera on when requested, and engagement in exercises).
  • Arriving late or leaving early by more than 15 minutes counts as a partial absence for that session.

Authorised absence

Emergency absences (a health, family or official commitment) are considered individually on presentation of supporting evidence within 3 business days. Attending the missed part in a later session, subject to availability, or make-up materials may be offered, without a guarantee of the certificate if attendance falls below the required threshold.

Effect of not meeting the requirement

If the required rate is not met, a statement of the actual hours attended is issued instead of a certificate of completion, and you may re-register for a later session under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Corporate reporting

For corporate training, the employer is provided with an attendance report for each learner unless otherwise agreed.
