Exam Integrity Policy

This policy applies to all exams and assessments run by the Institute, in person or remotely, and is read together with the Code of Conduct.

Before the exam

• The candidate's identity is verified with a national ID, iqama or passport.
• The duration, permitted and prohibited materials, and submission method are explained.

During the exam

• No unauthorised aid may be used: notes, extra devices, generative-AI tools, or communication with others.
• In remote exams the camera and screen sharing may be required throughout; the session is recorded for invigilation only and handled under the Privacy Policy.
• The candidate follows the invigilator's instructions; any breach may stop the exam.

Breaches and consequences

• Impersonation, cheating, leaking questions, or attempting to influence a result: the result is voided, and the candidate may be barred from resitting for a set period.
• Where there is a certification body, the breach is reported under its rules and may lead to action on its part.
• Every case is documented and the candidate is notified in writing of the decision and its reasons.

Right to appeal

The candidate may appeal a decision relating to exam integrity under the Appeals Policy.

Retention of exam material

Answer papers and invigilation records are kept for as long as needed for review and appeal, then securely destroyed.
